Introduction, Inspiration and Influences

We are going to go over pastels, and how to use them. I'll be giving you tips and techniques. This is a great way to get you started on your way to comfortably use pastels. For inspiration, we'll be going on a mini virtual trip to New York City, so that we have some fun things to pull from for our composition later on. I'll teach you how to put our project together, and finally we will begin our masterpiece.

Hey there!

Make sure to take a look at the video introduction. You will get a good idea of what's in store.

Then let's go visit The Big Apple...New York City. We start by going to Manhattan to check out the arts, walk the streets, discover central park and take in the sights including musicians and artists.

Then we'll head over to Brooklyn to take a look at murals from the Collective. From there we will pull our influences, and then move on to the fun part...painting!
